Everyone's favourite little red fruits are not only delicious but are packed full of nutrients and incredibly easy to grow. These guys grow to be around half the size of a common Strawberry, but what they lack in size, they make up for in taste! Wild Strawberries, also known as "Alpine Strawberries" or "Woodland Strawberries" have a more concentrated flavour than their cousins, with an almost floral aroma and extremely mild acidity.

Soil: VermiSoil

Nutrients: NutriGrow and NutriBloom - mix 1 scoop to 1 litre of water. Read the full guide below on when to switch to Nutribloom

Seeds per pot: Approximately 20-30 evenly spread

Planting depth: Sow your seeds 3mm below the soil and sow in both pots as you can not grow different plants with wild strawberries

Sprouting time: 7-14 days

Plant life: Up to 17 weeks

If you’re wanting the best results from your Wild Strawberry seeds, you must make sure to plant them in both pots so you can easily switch from NutriGrow to NutriBloom. This is a crucial step in the flowering process. Once the plant has grown to about 7-10cms make the change from NutriGrow to NutriBloom with the same mixing ratio of 1 scoop to 1 litre of water. You can find NutriBloom Here.

Like most of the plants in our range, Wild Strawberries are relatively easy to grow. You'll start seeing sprouts in one to two weeks, but these guys prefer a little bit of space from one another so they can get enough nutrients to flower quickly. However - once your plant has begun to flower, you'll need to pollinate it by hand, Don't worry, it's easy! You can do this by gently shaking your plant and the pollen will travel from one blossom to the next or alternatively, you can use a cotton tip and gently rub the centre of each flower to transfer the pollen by hand. Simple!

Amazing! Make sure you buy the Bloom nutrients

They grew really well and tasted great! just make sure you buy the bloom nutrients too as my plant wasn't flowering/fruiting. I only realised this after reading the planting guide on the seeds page which they have on all the seeds :) Amazing service
